Madison tried to take a pass on this one, too, but Jenny made her face her fear of unnaturally tall patriotic ladies.
Unfortunately a flier is covering up most of the loot. Basically, Memorial Day is twice as good as Halloween: you get just as much candy, but don't have to wear a patch over your eye, walk around rich neighborhoods, and say "Trick or Treat!" (What does that mean, anyway?)

what a patriotic city! i'm pretty sure we don't have anything like that here, just some donation breakfasts that start before the sun rises!!
I love the picture captions! You guys are so funny. I also loved the post about what Grant would say if he could talk. You have such a cute family. I'm so glad you started a blog.
Our kids were excited to be throwers of the candy. We have signed up at South Euclid and Lyndhurst City Halls for all of our sports. We started getting the information when our kids went to school or from friends whose children went. I will let you know when sign up starts if you are interested. We do soccer and baseball.
